DESCRIPTION: Choose this LIVE CLASS if you are completely new to the fiddle or want to make absolutely sure you are establishing the good habits that will make your future learning easier. We’ll work on proper body, fiddle, and bow position. We’ll use AFM 1 Course as our curriculum to work on proper body, fiddle, and bow position and learn how to generate good tone and pitch while memorizing a number of fun fiddle tunes.

AFM 2 INTERMEDIATE LIVE CLASS

DESCRIPTION: After recapping good basic technique, we will get into the heart of rhythmic fiddling understanding slurs and down-driving bows, and staccato slurs to drive the beat. We’ll memorize a number of classic fiddle tunes played in jam sessions everywhere.

BLUEGRASS 1 LIVE CLASS

DESCRIPTION: Learn the fundamentals of bluegrass soloing and backup. We’ll work on how songs and tunes are arranged. We’ll learn entry level kick offs, double stops, ending riffs, chops, backup chords and line tags to get you ready to play in a bluegrass jam.

BLUEGRASS 2 LIVE CLASS

DESCRIPTION: We’ll work on developing intermediate-level solos and backup to classic bluegrass songs and instrumentals. We’ll learn kickoffs, double stops, improvisation and endings to create your own killer solos.
